Walking is one of the mainstream activities of the club with a programme
of monthly guided walks in such
diverse areas as the Yorkshire Dales, North York Moors, and the Lake District.
It is also a key activity on the monthly trips, and the club includes several
members who have completed or are close to completing all the Munros. We
go out in all weathers, and at all times of the year - everything from a
gentle stroll in the Dales to a long winter's walk in the Scottish Hig
hlands.
Opportunities also exist to take part in Challenge walks such as the Bowland Challenge and Grin 'n' Bear It, some of which are intended to raise money for organisations involved in Mountain Rescue and others simply for personal satisfaction.
