Route ApproachesLundy is practically all sea cliffs (a couple of litte inland butresses). Many
require ab descents. A whole mini island is e asier with a inflatable dinghy !
Its worth thinking of how we are to get to them. Quite alot of walking involved
though flat, comfy trainers advised
YAC somewhere has a long caving rope suitable for abbing. Static is preferable but
old dynamic single ropes are fine. Most abs are faily short (40m) and can be done on your
climbing ropes if your prefer, but some (American) require longer ropes (about 75m). Rope
protectors are useful (but rucsacs, old pair of jeans etc work just as well)
RacksPretty standard UK trad rack is required. Granite slabs take those funky little wires on harder
routes otherwise nothing special.
RopesStandard 5om 1/2 ropes or a single will suffice. Dont remember any super long pitches - any one got a guide to
hand
