when we have the definitive listing we can argue the toss, given we are all on the same plane we can finalise when
at airport if there is any uncertaintiy - but we need to have it sorted beforehand IMHO :-)

how many beds are in the bedroom of the the one bedroom places (i had to think about that!)

1. double room with an extra bed in that room, plus 3 beds in the living area.
2. double room, plus 2 beds in the living area.
3. double room plus twin room plus 1 bed in living area.

Cef's in Brazil at the moment and will know when he gets back (towards the end of next week) whether he's coming.

well if Cef's not coming Julie, Rob, PeteB and I could go for the option with double and 2 in living room - as we're the late risers. IMHO (as Rob would say)

Thanks. Cala Gonone. I hope the street addresses of the flats are on the booking form or we'll never find where home is?

We're going to phone/text Salvatore (the landlord) when we get there and he's going to meet us and show us where to go :)

Eh?  No, we have 15 places and either 14 or 15 people. Unless someone else has cancelled and forgotten to tell me ;-)

Anyone heard from Cef? He said he'd let me know by last Thursday, but still no word.

Just heard from Cef and he's not coming, as he'll be in Sao Paulo instead.  It's a hard life.

So the 6-bed house can be a 5-bed house (ie without having to fit a 3rd person in one of the doubles).

We have:
Pre-dawn start:  5 beds (1 double 1 twin or double, 1 in living area).  me, Carmen, Alan + 2
Morning start: 5 beds (1 double or twin + 3 in living area).  Peri, Dave D + 3
Mid-afternoon start: 4 beds (1 double + 2 in living area).  Rob, Jules, Tracey, Pete B.

For anyone not there last year, the "very early" and "not quite so early" starters were much the same thing in practice, and usually ended up setting off at the same time.
The "duvet day" house were usually an hour or two behind, and then proceeded to climb  at least as many routes as the others, but in less time.

My I suggest those who havent blagged a bed, blag one now. it will be easier to allocate, er, I mean get volunteers, to drive a car parked outside the house you're sleeping in. I know it sounds picky but last year even though the houses were in the same terrace one house had one driver and another had twenty drivers (or close to it, it seemed) and it affected flexibility and increased dithering time first thing.
