Accommodation
« on: January 29, 2009, 11:05:56 am »

Latest update from Salvatore:

All is fine, then, and 3 apartments have for the time being been reserved for you.

We will give you either 2 Oleandri apartments and 1 Lecci apartment, or viceversa; that will accommodate 15 people. In case there were more of you than 15 persons, you would then need 4 apartments with a different price. In order to fix you in 3 apartments, either one or two single beds might be fold down beds, and all the others will be regular beds.

The two houses are 5 minute walk from each other.

The dates from Saturday March 28 to Saturday April 4, 2009, 7 nights are all right for us.

We can surely provide bed linen for all of you, and you will please re-confirm as for that well before arrival, for how many people and about beds set-up, that is. At least 2-3 beds should be double ones and the rest, either 9 or 11, will be single beds, if that is all right for you, otherwise advise please, and we can fix setting up of beds nearer the time.

As regards the costs, we remain as written in our email dated 19th january, and that is the following for min. 14\15 people, min. 1 week:

Either 14 or 15 people staying in 3 apartments,costs E.1170, which means about E.11 p\p, p\day.

BED-LINEN and towels : euros 15 per person,1 set per stay-, which also includes 2-3 bath-towels for each person. That means less than Euros 13,30 p\p, p\day with bed linen included. Of course either none\only some \all of you could have bed linen included, and you would pay for that accordingly.

E.1395 will be the total to be paid with bed linen for all of you.

FINAL CLEANING: included if apartment is left fairly in order and in clean condition; alternatively up to you to pay E.20\30 per apartment.Especially kitchen facilities should be left clean by the tenants.

I assume that everybody will want to pay 15 Euros for bed linen and towels.

If anyone would rather take their own then let me know!

You accidentally wrote 'superfluous ropes and kit' when you obviously really meant 'cake ingredients'.

Hi Simon

I have just remembered my password for the forum. Andrew and I think accommodation sounds good. Happy to pay for bedding. Thanks for your efforts.

Hey just an idea... but too save mad scrambles, hurt feelings and awkward social positions (dirty minds abound I am sure at that phrase) why don't we sort out who's sleeping with whom in which flat before we get to Sardinia, then a large quantity of phaffing can be done blighty side - this will save more time for climbing related phaffing at the other end  :D

The apartments sleep 4, 5, and 6, so if needed there's space for one more sloth  ;D

simon ive tried to understand the description of apartments to see if they are two bedrooms plus a sofa but not sure. I get it.

anyhow Cef tells me he is unsure about being able to come due to maybe being in Brazil (ohh the hardship) but wont know
till quite close, in which case it'd prolly be better to put him down as a sofa bed person or if there is a 5 then do it that way

I suppose we need more definition of how the apts are laid out but if it were a two bedroom (i double plus 2 singles) plus
a soafa that'd work with cancellations possible ?

anyhow ....

One apartment has 2 bedrooms, the other two have one each, the remaining beds are living room type areas - but they're beds, not sofas.  One of the double rooms has another bed as well, so if there is a cancellation it would make sense to leave that bed empty.  That's in the 6-bed apartment, so maybe if we added another person to the sleep-all-day house that would work out if Cef does cancel.
I've been discussing with the landlord whether bed locations etc are flexible, but there doesn't seem much point in spending any more time on it until we know who's actually coming.
Obviously we don't need to decide in advance exactly who's staying where, but we're unlikely to arrive before about 10 or 11pm so we don't want to start discussing it when we get there.
