Airport Parking
« on: March 03, 2009, 02:24:14 pm »

Airparks is £32.30 per week, or 29.20 if all details (including number of passengers) provided at booking time (and can't be changed).

I think Rob & Julie need to travel separately (is that right?), David E is Spanish.
What are Tracy and Pete B planning on doing?

If it helps anyone, there's a railways station nearby with regular shuttle bus.

I am looking into how to get to Luton - I have to decide between taking 2 trains or travelling directly by coach from Cambridge. At the moment i am leaning toward the trains. I hope to decide by next week. ???

Anyone driving by Cambridge from York ;)

yep me and jules will be going straight from airport to a family w/e
(only a day late) on the way home, so happy to gve lifts but obviously
coming home will be a tad awkward (we'll be stopping in Derby)

we could take kit for people if they are tight for space in cars etc

tracy I'm sure between us we can get you back to cambridge without the hassle of your having to get a train. I Have a feeling I'm on driving down to stanstead duty and if so I'd be happy to make the diversion - its practically on the direct route anyway. But you might have to bribe us with cake....

How many are travelling from to Luton from Yorkshire?

Andrews and my vehicles are probably the largest, between us we can take 9 persons. We are happy to volunteer our services unless that is someone else has a larger vehicle and is keen to offer there services.

I've opted for coach from cambridge. it's not much of a hassle going to the airport but if there was space on way back I'd take the offer of the lift as I've got a 90min wait once we debark or deplane or whatever stupid word they use now.

We've got to assume Cef's not coming, so that'll be 9 of us from Yorkshire.  If it comes to it I expect we can work something out with Rob & Jules helping out with baggage etc.

I don't see why not.

Cheapest I've found is http://www.holidayextras.co.uk/?affiliateid=91264 which seems currently to be £24 for the week!

So are you all aiming to get to the airport at 12 noon? I've got a lift from Cambridge and will try to arrange to get there at same time as you lot.

Then can do last minute baggage re-arranging if needed.

They're both bad! ;) I couldn't remember my password and it wouldn't remind on my work computer so I had to create a new identity - but I am automatically logged in on my laptop at home. I'm stuck at home with the dreaded 'spring' aka 'winter' vomiting bug - luckily haven't seen much of it's dreaded V but do feel rather crap.

So what time are you planning to arrive?

Better now than a week's time.

I'm being chauffeured by Andrew so it's up to him when we get there! But I'd think that 12ish at the car park should be reasonable (I think it's 20 mins or so from the airport)
