Last year the Christmas and New Year meet was again held at the Potteries Bunkhouse in Lagan. The meet was well supported, with 13 members attending. The luxurious hut is now equipped with an outdoor Jacuzzi, an attraction which was tried out on several occasions by intrepid club members.
We were disappointed to find that there was not as much snow as usual, that week it seemed to snow everywhere apart from the Highlands. The very low temperatures made up for the relative lack of the white stuff during our stay.
One day was spent on Creag Meagaidh in fantastic weather, with superb views from the plateau. We even found the summit cairn! Another visual delight was the appearance of a brocken spectre on Carn Dearg.
Other days including bagging several Geal Charns, climbing gullies in the Northern Corries, and getting blown about in the Monadh Liath.
