On Saturday Paul, Justine and I headed for Pot Scar (a decision that took a while en route) and were rewarded with sunshine and a lonesome crag.
I've been many times but still have a few routes to tick at this fantastic short and solid (mostly) sunny crag. [With a few easier routes and a few harder it really suits VS leaders with a lots of great lines, some of which a bit polished. No heroics but some fun routes in a remarkably beautiful setting.
Sunday C3, Karl Gav and I headed (eventually) for Malham Tarn which hosts Great Cote Scar in another superb picturesque setting. Obviously a late start post coffee and ice cream thanks for the flake Catherine) we got a couple of routes done each, another team on the 2 routes I rather fancied. This is a single pith crag but feels more serious, although solid with good gear. Plenty to go to from S to E2+.
We really are lucky in this county to have such stunning climbing scenery so close to hand, get yourself out there.
